Byron has more than 15 years of experience in the public accounting industry serving publicly traded and private companies. Byron began his career in 2006 with Grant Thornton LLP, an international accounting firm. Byron is a trusted tax advisor with extensive experience in Accounting for Income Taxes under ASC 740 and IAS 12, tax consulting and planning including Merger & Acquisitions. In 2017, Byron joined Deloitte Tax, LLP, a “Big Four” accounting firm. In his role with these firms, he served large to mid-sized multi-national business including tax compliance and consulting. Byron graduated with a Master of Science with a major in Accounting from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2006, and he also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Averett University. In 2016, Byron graduated from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Leadership Academy. Byron is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in North Carolina and Virginia and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Byron resides with his son in Charlotte, North Carolina.
